An idiosyncratic music approach. In the context of an exceptional piano recital, Stavros Kollias performs selected works by contemporary Japanese composers such as Toru Takemitsu, Karen Tanaka, Ryuichi Sakamoto and Shigeru Umebayashi, in an interplay with the notions of tradition, today’s sound, techno, the art of image, motion and Zen.

An inspiring dialogue between contemporary Japanese art creation, the West and the East. An exploration of today’s sound and the music of the future. The creations of contemporary Japan are mirroring one another to the infinity of all possible and inevitable influences from western and eastern cultures.
